Throughout
the world, teachers, sociologists, policymakers and parents are

Education Conference:
How to Nurture, Foster and Teach Empathy in the Education System?

This page is for the education sub
conference. A
section of the conference will be specifically about how to develop a
comprehensive empathy
curriculum for the educational system. We invite educators to propose panels on this
topic.

Questions to Address
-
As we seek to align a common vision around
empathy, we will have multiple opportunities to listen and see
different approaches to teaching.
-
Does the society we live in force children to focus on
unempathetic competition, rather than empathetic cooperation?( This is
Riane's question.)
-
How does nature teach empathy?
-
Does our system provide children with opportunities to
learn from nature if they live in overcrowded cities?
-
How can empathy be the guide for affecting social
change beginning with our school system?
-
Where does empathy exist in the day to day
relationships between teachers, administrators, councilors, and
students?
-
How does a strong educational setting contribute to
learning?
-
Does it show support for emotional development?
